In New England, If It’s Fall, Then It’s Foliage

white-birches-and-fall-colors-in-vt Despite the lackluster skies, and the early foray into foliage season, it’s always nice when you find a spot that fills your needs. I’ve often found that areas near streams and ponds have trees that turn early. So it was as we drove into Vermont. The most compelling colors were near this pond, probably created by beaver activity.

What caught my eye? …the birches and red foliage that punctuated the sentences they were forming. (Too poetic a statement?)

I had to use some Topaz Labs Impressions to give me something in the bland sky. The painterly effect treated the grays there with enough texture to do the job.
