Before they turn to Fall Foliage colors…here are a couple photos from an interesting state park in New Jersey, Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton Township. It was late September, way too early for the reds, yellows and golds to show in the leaves. Nevertheless, the compositions were interesting enough for me to want to take the raw images and have some fun with them.
The couple in the featured image was gazing across Smithville Lake which lies along the north branch of the Rancocas River. The iron fencing surrounds the lake and has several observation areas available. The image below is part of an old farm building where some of the Bricks, Bricks, and Bricks series was taken. I like the more aggressive impressionistic effects in the featured image, but the circle of trees needed a more subtle touch.
